Do you need an energy boost detox routine? If you did a lot of indulging over the weekend, then don’t be surprised if your mind and your body are a bit sluggish during the week. The best way to flip the switch to have clarity and energy is to fuel your body best…that means no more sugary, salty, or fatty foods! You must detox the body. One of the ways to help detox is to activate your 240,000 mile detoxification system – The Lymphatic System. Yes, there are around 240,000 miles of blood vessels throughout an average adult body. Hard to even imagine, isn’t it?

Sprint Without Running

Almost every disease or condition can point back to a sluggish lymphatic system. The sludge occurs when we eat unhealthy foods and live a sedentary lifestyle. So, let’s get that lymphatic system moving today…shall we? A great way to do that is by practicing sprints. You can “sprint” in different ways, don’t just think of running sprints. Although, I do highly recommend 30-60 second running sprints. But, there are other “sprints” you can practice. Punching your arms as if hitting a speed bag, performing fast upper-cut type moves, jump squats, burpees, jumping jacks, high knees, jumping on a rebounder, or even lying on your back and moving your legs to perform bicycle sprints are just to name a few. Get creative and have fun! I challenge you to do 10 – 60 second “sprints” every day this week. They don’t have to be all at once. Every 60 second move will strengthen not only the lymphatic system, but the other systems of the body as well. They all work together!

Speaking of working together…we all, as the body of Christ, must work together for best performance and to glorify our Heavenly Father. So, the question is….Are you doing your part?

1 Corinthians 12:27 reminds us that “All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.” Your role is very important…stay healthy for it so we can all be healthy together!
