She looked at the pictures from her brother’s wedding…was that REALLY her? Suddenly she choked up and closed the computer screen. The weight was showing and her heart hurt deeply because she was so upset about the way her health had decreased. She was comfortable until that day. That day that her reality reflected back through the image in the photograph.
What would it take for you to be uncomfortable with the way that your health has decreased? What would make you stop and do a 180 to better health?
For the woman mentioned above, it was not only the image of her much heavier body but being able to keep up with others her own age.
Are you comfortable with where your health is? Are you just “alright enough” to stay where you are?
If that’s the case, I have to tell you – You. Deserve. Better!
I won’t stop saying it, “your health is your TRUE wealth.” You were made for so much more – you were made to feel so much more.
What does it take to TRULY be healthy?
It takes work and dedication. It takes being uncomfortable enough with yourself to WANT to change. You can still love yourself AND be uncomfortable – in fact, when you are truly loving yourself, your poor health WILL make you uncomfortable because you will want better. You will know in your heart of hearts that you can live healthier and happier.
The first step in any recovery program is admitting that you have a problem.
And that’s the first step in any health and wellness program – being able to say “yes, I have a problem with weight, or food, or eating, mindset, or health in general.”
“Yes. I have a problem.”
You’re not alone. There are countless studies reflecting the fact that women all over the world hate their bodies or hate the way they look.
So, why live like that when you CAN make a change? You CAN look in the mirror and love what you see!
Why not take the first step today and admit that you have a problem? It’s a sign of strength and courage.
