Of all the diets homosapiens endure, detoxicating diets or a detox cleanse may be both the most, well, unpleasant, while also the most essential. Detoxing can assist not only in weight loss, but also in ridding oneself of the toxic chemicals our bodies managed to accumulate over the years — whether such toxins occurred from environmental or food-based contaminants. According to those who swear by the process, a body that’s been freed of toxins not only functions better, its metabolism also soars. As a bonus, extra pounds fall by the weigh-side.
A wide variety of detox plans exist. While some adhere to a low-calorie fast, others swear by an herb/pill/powder/enema form of intestinal cleansing. Detoxification has at its root a natural cleaning function that processes from the inside out. The removal of toxins then allows healthy nutrients to help prevent disease and to generate better health.
A detox program aids the body in cleaning one’s blood while also eliminating toxins through a body’s kidneys, intestines, and skin, to name a few. A body riddled with toxins may become adversely affected. As such, many detox believers recommend that detoxification be done annually. That said, detox diets/cleanses are not immune to a similar medical disclaimer: Consult your healthcare practitioner with any questions.
More toxins than ever have infiltrated our once-safe environment, and there appears to be little if any improvement. If you find yourself extremely sluggish, your allergies have increased, you have bags under your eyes and/or your mind seems a bit confused from brain fog, you may be a prime candidate either for a short detox program or a whole-body cleanse – both of which should be done annually or bi-annually.
But, here’s the kicker, people wouldn’t need to go through a detox cleanse if they ate all-natural, 100% organic (without any artificial treatments), and maintained more of a plant-based diet daily. Yes, toxins are everywhere in our environment, but if you eat clean daily and steer clear from processed foods, sugar and white flour as well as limit or ditch the dairy and red meat – then detoxing won’t be such a necessity. The quality of your living is entirely up to your daily choices.
Until then, remember to exercise daily. It will also do your body good and assist in riding it of harmful wastes and toxins.
It’s valuable for your overall health to be educated about detoxing including why detoxing is important, how to detox your body, the best way to detox, when to follow a detox weight loss program or an energy boost detox routine. There are many simple ways to do a detox cleanse and one of easiest is with a 1 week detox reboot.
