Your hip flexors take on quite a bit of stress as you sit all day. And so often you might find yourself sitting in a car, then sitting at work, sitting at home, even sitting at your child’s sports practice during the week. Typically, people sit more than they realize and pretty soon your hip flexors need relief, thus your back.
A few of my favorite stretches are:
-“Happy Baby”
(lay on your back, pull your feet in and hold them similar to how a baby plays with their feet)
-Pigeon pose
-Low lunge
-Bridge
A foam roller can be very useful as well.
Stretching can prevent injury. Give you more energy. And Just 10 minutes of overall stretching a day can be a life-changer. Truly.
