Birds of a feather flock together. I know you’ve heard that phrase before. Well, how about in the sense of your eating habits and who you hang out with on social media?? Yes…social media.
It turns out that all those food photos your friends’ post are either influencing you to eat healthy or go down an unhealthy path…including people you don’t know personally, but follow on social media.
This is all according to MedicineNet Health and a study conducted from a university in the United Kingdom.
I find this fascinating, really. It proves the power of food (even in the form of a photo) and the power of the desire to fit in with others.
With this said…you have more influence than you might give yourself credit for. Having healthy eating habits and posting those photos could encourage your friends and family to do the same.
So, the next time you make yourself that life-giving salad – snap a pic and post it. Allow the colors of the rainbow of nutrients to cause a mouth-watering ripple of replication to those you know.
AND if you’re looking for a healthy influence – follow me on Instagram or Facebook. I’ll be sharing lots of healthy options there.
Have you been healthy, but have gotten off track a bit and could use a “reboot”?
