Do you often experience brain fog, low concentration, or trouble articulating things? Do you sometimes find yourself enjoying a diet high in cheeseburgers, chips, ice cream, and other not-so-healthy, yet delicious foods?
Fun fact: the phrase, “Food for thought” came about from a 16th-century Dutch philosopher who said, “Nor try to put courteous conversation into the minds of impudent men, for speech is the food of thought.”
Today, I’m going to attack this “Food for thought” phrase in a more literal sense. Our diet plays a crucial role in our thoughts and brain function, even while we are asleep. It sends out necessary hormones and healing functions to repair, restore, and detox our bodies.
The best way we can support our brain function is to fuel it well because what we put into our bodies is what we get out. Understanding what foods to eat will give you a jump start on improving your gut health, and balance hormone levels to optimize performance, allowing you to think more clearly, be more creative, and consciously be more present.
