How Much Protein Do I Need, and Where Can I Get It?

Contrary to popular belief, you don’t need excessive amounts of protein. About 10-15% of your daily calories should come from protein, which is easily met through a plant-based diet. Lentils, beans, quinoa, nuts, seeds, and even vegetables like broccoli contain protein. If you’re eating a well-balanced diet, you’re likely getting more than enough protein without needing animal products.

Do I Need Supplements?

If you’re eating a diverse, plant-based diet, you may not need many supplements. However, some people require B12 and vitamin D3 + K2, especially if lab results indicate a deficiency. Instead of taking unnecessary supplements, focus on optimizing your nutrition first.
