Is it just me or are you hearing as much about “pumpkin this and pumpkin that” – as I am?
I mean, I get it…you’ve got pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin cookies, even pumpkin pie. But, pumpkin Pringles, Oreos, JELLO, and Marshmallows? I wouldn’t dare eat those things anyway, but add pumpkin to it. No, thank you.
Has the pumpkin craze gotten out of hand? Basically, I think the “pumpkin people” are trying to turn us all into “pumpkin heads.” Oh, the power of marketing.
Now, you’re not going to expect this from me….but I’m going to tell you to GO WITH IT – but go with it in a healthy way. In fact, make it a healthy way to start your day. With a pumpkin pie smoothie.

Here are the ingredients of my pumpkin pie smoothie: READY?
- 1/2 cup pure pumpkin puree
- 1 banana;
- 1/4 cup almond milk
- 1/4 tsp. pumpkin pie spice;
- 4 to 5 ice cubes (that’s not really an ingredient)
